Come on. A few thousand more miles and I would have felt perfectly justified just getting a new set of tires. It would be a great excuse to get rid of the SPORTS PRIUS shoes.
But I can’t silence the part of my brain that says “Patch it instead of wasting hundreds of dollars.”
And it’s a slow leak, so I can’t even rationalize it as being a safety risk.

I walked out of work yesterday and found a screw in my tire. Took it to a shop today, and they pulled out half a screw that didn’t puncture the tire. Mud tires for the win.

I have worked on my own cars all my life, which is getting to be a long time. However, I only discovered the miracle of the cheap tire plug only recently. Sometimes you have to mess with it a little for it to work right, but once plugged they stay plugged, just use a little soapy water to make sure you got the leak.
Plug it and run it.

In my teens, I had a van with a wood screw stuck in the tire in between the tread. I used a screwdriver to back it out, but then it started leaking, so I quickly screwed it back in.
Drove that van with that tire and screw for 3 years.

I can confirm that this works, when my ‘03 p71 got totaled, I borrowed my dad’s ranger and promptly found a screw sticking out from the tire half an inch (between the tread blocks). I found a driver and ran it the rest of the way in, didn’t leak.

I just had the same thing. Ended up just replacing all 4.
Bought Hankook V12 evo 2 k120's, I like them quite a bit for an all around DD performance tire.
Hankook has a $100 rebate on them as well right now, so not a bad time to buy.

I would definitely patch it.
